Day 2 and so on
Just realize i stopped at Day 1 and didnt carry on. Actually i think a few mre blog post wld end it coz ahhh those interesting stuff only happened on the weekends when i am relaxing.
Ok without further ado let me continue.
Well basically on the second day of my trip in cambodia. The breakfast was very nice that i ate two helping. Anyway we went to the russian market today, but before we went there we had to change some local currency as paying in USD isn't worth it. So we found out that the exchange rate was 4030 which was much better. Most of us changed USD 10 for it and i think that was quite enough.
At the russian market, i learnt the tradition of crossing their road. It was basically just crossing with the cars all moving towards you. The cars will naturally stop or slow down for you. But you must remember never to chiong. Just walk slowly across the traffic and it would be alright. There were so many stuff at the russian market that i really didn't want to leave it all out. Anyway i saw CSI Season there and remembered that i needed to get some season that i couldn't get. But the Season 3, they didn't have but they had 1-3 and then there was season 4 ,5,6 and 7. Finally after much consideration i got season 6 and 7...and it costed me 20 bucks. Then i got some T-Shirts which cost 1.50 each.
I shall just briefly touch on where i went to afterwards. We went to the National Musuem where we saw the history of Cambodia. And Cambodia has been plague by many wars over the years. Anyway i also found out that Naga or 7 headed Snake is much used in many places of Cambodia like the school i taught in. And also Angkor Wat.
After the Museum trip we went to the Royal Palace. They had many strict rules like no short pants, no sandals but all was alright when we went in only that..some of my teamate who were wearing sleeveless shirts was pulled out and requested to wear a shirt with sleeve. Anyway the king was having a event that day so we couldn't stay long and we just walked around those unrestricted area and saw many stuff.
Oh yeah...We had lunch at an Cambodian Coffeeshop as we wanted to have a feel of how cambodians have their lunch. Although it was simple fare there but the food was exceptionally nice. We even ate a mud skipper there.
Ok thats all for day 2. i promise to update tomorrow too.
