First day of the school of the new semester

Ok with a blink of eye, i am Year 2 now. Feel much more at ease with my routine and surrounds and stuff. Anyway, i forgot to set alarm clock and i had this very very nice dream. When i woke up, i thought of going back to sleep to continue my dream but then it struck me...I HAD CLASSES TODAY AND I HAVEN'T WAKE UP YET.

So straight away take my handphone to check if anyone message me or anything.(was expecting that i woke up at 11 or 12 plus >.<) But was shocked to see that it was 7.40am. My plan was to get out of the house by 8am so that i can make it for my 9am class. So in a hurry, i quickly bath and change clothes. Then got out of the house. Suprisingly, i was actually very very early for school today. But on my way to school i can't help but notice how easy it was to spot a freshie in a poly. You can straight away picked them out. Will make a freshie spotting guide at the end of the blog or rather i did the guide b4 i wrote this post but who cares..as long as i put the guide below everything i wrote it would be something i wrote after i wrote this :D

OK enough of side tracking, anyway when i reach school, i had to visit our friendly little school toliet for a cake baking session. I even plan to go to the air con toliet at block S level 1. I was thinking baking a cake is hard work, i need air con :D

Got into my first class which was taught by my personal mentor. Saw that there is a domain specially created for us EI student :D. Had a few addition to our class i guess or maybe for that module. Was pretty shag at start....had to start on work liao. After that class we went to fast food canteen to have our lunchie~~ After lunchie was our japanese, had a recap and found that a long time not speaking jap and i arean't talking fast and clear enough.

After jap had our ASP.net class. Was taught by this teacher who was actually our EI 2nd batch. Counted she was around 24 years old. Had the ASP.net which was mainly to get a touch of stuff and then procceded off to our last lesson for the day. Which basically the teacher just talk about attendance, attire, hair and some other stuff which i didn't bother to listen. As we have this card tapping machine which is render uesless now as they arean't taking card attendance anymore. Hence paper will be passed around to sign for our attendance but this teacher she was more clever she used a primitive but almost 100% foolproof method. Calling out the person name and ticking on it. Like primary school kids.

Anyway thats the end of day one of the new semster. Hope that everyone enjoyed their first and also from tomorrow onwards i won't be having dinner at home as i will be freak freaking packed....How pack you ask? Well....

Tuesday i am going out to meet my mates from the cambodia trip for dinner after my 6pm class.

Wednesday i will be helping out at club crawl from 1pm-4pm?? But then surely will ask us stay back do some stuff then surely eat outside 1.

Thursday have this astronomy rehersal for the real quiz night which is friday from 10am - 8pm...Wonder why rehersal need so long one.

Friday actually Astronomy Quiz....will not be going home as staying overnight there.

Saturday?? Well rest and do some HOMEWORK!!!! which due on monday. Basically...I am screwed for year 2 liao must put in 200% work. Before the term start actually was thinking not working hard enough need to do 100% effort le. But then now if i 100% effort only give me the same kind of result i got for Year 1 Sem 2 hence the extra 100% to do better... =.= stress hor haiz~~

Anyway this was the freshie guide i created earlier on...Lucky didn't do it after i write finish this long nong blog post or else i will PENG!!....

Anyway enjoy this long blog post and this is one of the rare occasion where i write so much.
This is the following guide on how to spot a freshie.

-Very rush in everything they do aka Gan Chiong.
(If you have been in the school long enough, you would know what time you have to reach a checkpoint and stuff. Only if its your first day of school and very unsure of your timing and stuff would you rush to be afraid to be late for school. I remember i was late for about 10 minutes for every first class of the day for the 1st week of school when i was still a freshie. Now i am late for more then an hour :P as i learn that once i am late i rather slowly wake to school as no matter how fast i rush there i am still LATE!!.)

-Have a timetable in the hand at all times. (For checking of which class to go and stuff. I more power when i was a freshie. I brought the school map with me everywhere i went to so to check which block was i at and where was i at.)

-Travel in LARGE group. (When you just know this group of friend you will be all going together in a group, Whether it is eat or go toliet we will wait for each other and move together :D.)

- Have a lost look on their face or looking up down left right at every single thing. (To ensure you don't miss out any sign or anything that you have to keep in mind. As a 2nd year now and walking pass the same lane and stuff, you already taken in the surrounding hence you won't bother to look at stuff but just keep looking straight and go to your destination. Maybe an occasion look at a pretty babe walking pass you or below you or anywhere near you. :D)

- For NYP, Macdonalds will be the place where all the freshies will congregate. Why you ask? Why else but the ultra cheap price of an Extra Value Meal aka EVM. Who can resist a Fillet o fish at 4.90 when you get it outside for 5-6 bucks :D)

Hence i end my freshies guide here. If there is anymore to add, i will gladly add in if you tell me. :D

Day 2 and so on

Just realize i stopped at Day 1 and didnt carry on. Actually i think a few mre blog post wld end it coz ahhh those interesting stuff only happened on the weekends when i am relaxing.

Ok without further ado let me continue.

Well basically on the second day of my trip in cambodia. The breakfast was very nice that i ate two helping. Anyway we went to the russian market today, but before we went there we had to change some local currency as paying in USD isn't worth it. So we found out that the exchange rate was 4030 which was much better. Most of us changed USD 10 for it and i think that was quite enough.

At the russian market, i learnt the tradition of crossing their road. It was basically just crossing with the cars all moving towards you. The cars will naturally stop or slow down for you. But you must remember never to chiong. Just walk slowly across the traffic and it would be alright. There were so many stuff at the russian market that i really didn't want to leave it all out. Anyway i saw CSI Season there and remembered that i needed to get some season that i couldn't get. But the Season 3, they didn't have but they had 1-3 and then there was season 4 ,5,6 and 7. Finally after much consideration i got season 6 and 7...and it costed me 20 bucks. Then i got some T-Shirts which cost 1.50 each.

I shall just briefly touch on where i went to afterwards. We went to the National Musuem where we saw the history of Cambodia. And Cambodia has been plague by many wars over the years. Anyway i also found out that Naga or 7 headed Snake is much used in many places of Cambodia like the school i taught in. And also Angkor Wat.

After the Museum trip we went to the Royal Palace. They had many strict rules like no short pants, no sandals but all was alright when we went in only that..some of my teamate who were wearing sleeveless shirts was pulled out and requested to wear a shirt with sleeve. Anyway the king was having a event that day so we couldn't stay long and we just walked around those unrestricted area and saw many stuff.

Oh yeah...We had lunch at an Cambodian Coffeeshop as we wanted to have a feel of how cambodians have their lunch. Although it was simple fare there but the food was exceptionally nice. We even ate a mud skipper there.

Ok thats all for day 2. i promise to update tomorrow too.

Cambodia trip update

As i promise, i will now blog about the stuff i encounter and seen in cambodia. This may take up serveral post so i guess this post will be one of the many as 18 days worth of blog post isn't gonna be able to go all into one.

So enough here is my day 1 encounters.

Was very alert when i touch down. Keeping all my personal belongings near me. Was very afraid that it will lost. When i saw the airport, i was shocked that it was air condition and had many high technology. Anyway we cleared custom very fast as one of my group mate uncle was working there and he helped us clear custom quite fast. Once we took our luggage and also the 5 PC's we procceeded to go out. At the gate those which had the PC were stopped as they wanted to check what was inside the boxes. So we with the others bag went out first. Outside there were many people waiting and asking if we wanted tut tut or motorcycle to go around. Saw the money changer there which exchange rate was 1USD to 3800 riel. It was quite lucky that i didn't change as later on i found 1USD to 4030 riel. Anyway after everything was cleared we took a mini bus with all our bags and stuff and off we went to our guesthouse to put our luggage. I took many picture of the sights there and there was this one particular picture which was very amazing.

Here it is :
Anyway, when we reach the place we were going to stay, we were shocked. As our bus were really big, and the alleyway was very small. Its a wonder how the bus driver was able to manuvour out of the tiny alleyway and into the guesthouse. And the people there had such good temper and even helped the bus to sucessfully go in. Anyway we all said that if we were able to do that, then driving test in Singapore would be a breeze.

At first the guesthouse that we saw was air-condition. Then we went to the other side which was just a few steps down to another guesthouse which was non-air condition but had a pool table. As the second guesthouse was actually our selected guesthouse but we couldn't get rooms pre booked. So when we reach the owner told us that he had rooms but we had already paid the first room for a few nights there. So we decided to have 6 people staying at the 2nd guesthouse and i naturally opted for it. When everything was settled, we went to have our lunch at a halal restaurant and then went to KYA or Khmer Youth Association for a look see look see. Anyway don't bore y'all with my work there. So after discussion and talking we went to have our dinner and then to a supermarket to stock up on food we needed for our breakfast the next morning. Saw many stuffs there like McKing which was a direct copy of MacDonalds. Also i bought a show that i am goin to watch today. Well the first day i had alot of mixed feelings like regretting to go cambodia and stuff as i really wasn't enjoying myself. Washed my clothes and off i was to sleep. Was also feeling very hot as the window was spoilt and we had only 1 fan working.
