A long long long day

Well its been two weeks since my last post about newbies. I find that this newbies are adapting well to their new enviroment and learnt how to be aware about their surroundings and not do newbie stuff. Too many to recount and write down here anyway.

So the new semester of the ending has come. I realize that i haven't really done a proper post on whats going on. Seems like everyones getting on well with their lives and adapting well. Those who work work, those who do FYPJ does and the one who serve NS is coming out in a few days time. Chaos will be approaching when his out but ohhhh well, the day isn't fun without the mammal.

So i have been in school for 3 weeks and fast approaching week 4. In week 4, many things will start nagging me for work. In week 4, i have important homework to pass up. In week 4, i must already accomplish something in the huge major project that they have given us which encompass 4 modules. In Week 4, i will officially be known as dead :)

Ohhh well, Week 4 is like 3-4 days away anyway. Don't wanna be depressing in here. Ok hence this start the real update from all my complaining and whatsnot of an old man :(

School was great and the modules seem fun. I am currently learning a new programming knowledge to be used on mobile applicants to create them. Its called J2ME and uses Java which is almost like C#(C sharp). J2ME means Java 2nd Micro Edition or Mobile Edition as i would like to call it. Anyway this program is the ones that create for eg. your sms functions, your camera program that you call up when taking a photo or editing it. It basically encompass most if not all of the stuff that you are using on your mobile phones.

Next we have Communication Skills 2 which teaches you how to write letter, resume and go for interview. Thats the gist of it i guess. The teacher is kinda of ummmm experince in getting jobs and everything and shares her experinces.

And then we have something called CitectSCADA which i haven't figure what it does and how well.

We also have OOAD or Object Oriented Analysis(??) Design which is Use Case, Use Case Specification, Activity Diagram and those all so great diagrams that you need for programming, Kinda what is needed in the industry.

We also have this module called Project Case Study but i rather it being called Project Case Book or (???). Go guess it :P This module basically ask us to do project on a case study. Something like PBL in RP or TP. But more intense as it comprise of 4 modules in 1.

Anyway theres one fun module where you learn how to code in layers and actually divide a big project into a small 1. Of course it isn't easy and plus C# is used and me being sick and lazy hence i am kinda in a limbo state where i don't wanna do anything.

Lifes good while it last. Hope for attachment and FYPJ to come soon. And then NS and hope my gpa's high enough for University. But then again kinda hate the idea of going university and study again. See how it goes. I intend to go travelling b4 going into NS anyway. Maybe taiwan or japan if possible.

Ok thats the end of my update. Theres going to be one in a few days time. Decided to blog more, hence if you see me not blogging more than 3 days please inform me or force me if you can :)

Ahhh, i am finally back after taking a well deserving 1month and 2 weeks holiday from all my projects and exams. I won't talk too much about my holiday because there isn't much to talk about in the first place. It seems like i blinked my eyes and school has re-open again. I have not much recollection about what i did during my holiday, but i remember clearly i was watching alot of Japanese Action Drama. GTO and Kamen Rider would be more specific.

Anyway the reason i have started blogging today is because after much persuasion and nagging from various people, this amazing and motivating blogger has decided to grace and heal you guys from the angony of not reading my blog for a long long time.

*Passes bucket for people to puke into it*

Enough with the puking and now let me start on my wonderful post i am about to share today. NOW NOW no more puking please or it will ruin the story :)

Well it is now Mr Cheng YouJun's annual Newbie analysis report from his first day back in school.

In my last report( search 1 year before around today), i have reported some newbies action and how to spot one. Today i would like to present a more detailed and updated report.

How to Spot a Newbie 101

1) A newbie always hangs out in group

2) A newbie is never alone

3) A Newbie always blocks your path

4) A Newbie always blocks your path in groups

5) A Newbie talks very loud together with groups of friend

6) A Newbie is never without a timetable in his hands

7) A Newbie always think that school book is cheap as compared to secondary school books

8) A Newbie wears new clothes

9) A Newbie wears weird clothes

10) A Newbie has new bags

11) A Newbie boy most of the time has dyed hair with spikey hair(standard) and appears in group

12) A Newbie girl most of the time wears micro micro mini shotrs which looks as if it is underwear to seduce people(??) and appears in group

13) A Newbie in NYP will always go to Macdonalds on their first day in school.

14) A Newbie is always at the roadshow buying a laptop or lugging a laptop everywhere from morning till the time they go home because they kiasu that laptop will sell finish

15) A Newbie always unpacks their laptop in school and forgets that the school table isn't that "clean"

16) A Newbie has a kind of mysterious energy that they emmit when they walk pass you and that energy is called "excitement"

17) A Newbie is so attentive in class that even if you steal their laptops under their eye, they will not notice.

18) A Newbie always love to add each other in an MSN conference and have a class conference.

19) A Newbie will upgrade to a regular after 2 weeks in a Polytechnic.

20) Finally A Newbie who turns regular will see how newb they were last time.

The above is what i notice today in school. And i can vouch that for every point i listed out, i was like that once :D

So no hard feelings to those Newbies out there right? Don't worry, the newbie phrase will end and we will all laugh about it :)
